Well, I suppose some people need to have things written in stone. Timmins has been totally bilingual all along. Signs, stores, service. http://www.saultstar.com/ArticleDisplay. aspx?e=1443942City Council was addressed by 4 students about the issue. The students are all from Theriault, so perhaps this is an important issue. What am i missing?

I, too, want to know what more the French speaking community would 'get' if Timmins were officially bi-lingual. Other than huge financial costs to implement the official status, what else would there be? Maybe we need to hear from 4 students from RMSS and 4 from Renaissance and 4 from O'Gorman and 4 from TH&VS.... Just my 2 cents worth

Why not? $$$$$ is why. So, if everything is bi-lingual without officially being bi-lingual, would that be wise spending of money to make it official?
