I think I read in the press lately that Timmins is that the Timmins District hospital is postioning itself for meeting or exceeding wait times.
that's great, but what about the service once you get in there?
Anyone actually spent time in the triage area, wait for their number to be called, finally get in to see the doctor - only to be sent home with no solution?
I think what can help across the province is better patient advocacy, and better education about what constitutes an emergency.
I think some diagnostic and prescriptive services should be downloaded to nurses - in the hospital AND in local clinics.
How many times are emergency wards clogged with NON emergencies?
